Eating Norfolk is Live! …finally

Eating Norfolk – Your Definitive Guide to Eating Out in Norfolk

Well finally I’ve finished building it, it’s only taken around 5 years! Eating Norfolk is actually a private project for myself and something I’ve been going on about doing for about 5 years now. I was working in a hotel and on a particular quiet shift I was discussing new business ideas with a colleague and somehow I came up with the idea of a restaurant directory where users could submit reviews about their experiences. It’s quite a big thing now online what with websites like Trip Advisor but at the time these kind of websites weren’t overly popular. I tried at the time to build it myself and even got quotes from designers to do it for me but somehow it just kept getting left behind (probably something to do with working stupid hours a week in a hotel!).

So anyway here we are it’s finally live and I have to say I’m almost 100% happy with it, there’s just a few tweeks here and there that I have noticed need attention since putting the site live. It’s received a really great welcome on Facebook & Twitter (if you need someone to help you achieve better results via social networking please get in touch) and we have started to get a few reviews in already.

At the time of writing this we currently have over 150 restaurants on the site, however after doing some research there are apparently over 700 restaurants in Norfolk so we’ve still got a bit of work cut out yet, but I’m sure it will all be worth it in the end.

Anyway I’ll stop rambling on now, check out the site and let me know what you think!
